Agreed! Where I'm from, tofu is not a "substitute" or "healthier" option, it's a staple in southeast asian dish, stop seeing tofu as a "restriction" ingredients and it'll broaden your tofu-dish-horizon. Tofu itself doesn't have any taste so if your tofu sucks maybe it's the way you cook it 🤷♀️

All those of you saying “ew tofu” haven’t learnt to make it properly! Try the authentic recipes- for instance silken tofu in douhua (tofu pudding with sweet ginger-palm sugar sauce) or silken tofu with a topping of a smooth savoury pour over dip made with dark soy-garlic-honey -spring onion greens-mirin & a touch of sesame oil.
