@weebbookclub: would/have you used numbing cream while being tattooed before? 🧐 after this experience, i can confidently say i will not be using it ever againg it was a first and last time for me! it was more hassle than it's worth, i think. instead of spending money on numbing cream, just go buy yourself a strong margarita or a triple scoop ice cream cone after you get through a tough tattoo session 😎 thank you to my sweet angel baby brissa for making such a beautiful tattoo for me! i've never seen such a beautiful knee in my life!!! if you're not already following her, you must! 🫶🏻 i wanted brissa to tattoo my knee specifically because i knew it was going to hurt and she's very quick, but also has almost 15 years of tattooing experience so i knew she was going to do an amazing job tattooing an area that can be difficult to tattoo correctly! thank you so much brissa!!! 💕 #tattooartist #kneetattoo #numbingcream
Used it for the first time when we did my, was on day 3 and just wanted to finish 😅

TKTX is the only numbing cream that works for me! I recently finished my stomach piece and the difference between sessions with and without was insane. Was 100% numb for at least two hours at a time!

Girrlllll ain’t nothing wrong with using numbing cream if your skin can handle it. If the area you are tattooing is a painful area so be it !!👏🏼👏🏼

I exfoliate the area hard the apply a rx-strength lidocaine patch beforehand. The patch lasts me a couple hours. I already have a connective tissue disorder and a nerve disorder with chronic pain, but my artist says I sit like a champ. Never tried the cream though 🤷♀️

I used numbing cream on my knee too. It needs a few touch ups as ink fell out in a few spots.

I have a lot of big American traditional tattoos on my legs, with plans to eventually be completely covered in them. I also am getting laser hair removal on places of my body that have not yet been tattooed, and the NP who does my laser treatments prescribed me a numbing cream since it’s been really painful for me. I asked my tattoo artist if I could also try it for our next session, AND DUDE. No pain whatsoever— on MY SHIN. I don’t think I will ever NOT use numbing cream now. I used to SH in my teenage years, but the days of making things more painful for myself are behind me. I’ve earned softness and comfort.

I have an autoimmune disorder that affects my body’s reaction to inflammation and lowers my pain tolerance. The difference in tattoo pain before my disorder started to manifest in my early 20’s to now is CRAZY!! Numbing cream helps take the edge off and lets me get through tattoos without them being unbearable. I’m so glad it works for me!! But totally aware it doesn’t work for everyone.

I’ve never used numbing cream but i have used numbing spray (once I’ve had the outline and shading done) and oh my god it’s like pure heaven and my tattoos healed great!

I have both knees done, and I had to keep reminding myself that I’ve given birth twice— to keep my sanity lol

Numbing cream is AMAZING!!! There’s nothing to prove going through the pain of getting them. I have a ton, I use numbing cream because the experience is much more bareable and the results are exactly the same

I didn’t use the epidural when I gave birth. I am however using numbing cream on my leg sleeve. I don’t mind tolerating pain for my child, but I just want to get the tattoo over with as long as I can 😂👏

I’ve got plenty big pieces without it. I found a great artist who said he works well with it and encouraged it. Ain’t going back.

I got my knee tattooed a few years ago, started it in September and didn't finish it until December of that year that is the only tattoo I've used numbing cream on and have already decided that when it fades I'm never getting it redone 🤷🏻♀️
