not wealthy, but when I worked at Google, we had doctors offices on campus. I tell nurses now to get those type of jobs.

It has nothing to do with being wealthy. It has everything to do with having a primary care physician that you see and have a means of contacting I am a nurse and most of America does not have a primary care doctor and that’s why they use the ER and hospitals maintaining a relationship with a doctor is key to avoid avoiding the wait and high ER cost

Knew an ER doc in Houston and he said 80% of his patients were homeless people.

But for the rich people, they have the doctor go to their home so they don’t have to worry about going to the ER

My OBGYN doesn’t accept insurance. I definitely paid out of pocket for my car. My OB was available 24/7 and made house calls. I could text my doctor and the nurse at any time and got immediate responses. It is definitely worth it

Wealthy people aren’t necessarily healthier we are all human. Money doesn’t buy health. I could give plenty of names of sick, and people who have died that we are all familiar with.

If everyone flocked to concierge doctors, assuming they could afford them, it would back up those services too. We need more doctors in general to handle our population.

I have no idea how true this is, but if you ever watched the resident the hospital in that show literally had a separate wing just for the rich people and it was basically like a five star hotel

Rich people take care of their health before they end up in the emergency room. It’s also culturally acceptable in poor communities to go to the emergency for non emergency care

Generational doctors too! My Dad’s corporate entity has the company all seeing the same practitioners that hand their practices over to their network. I called in a favor to my dad when my husband became disabled so he never had to see a VA hospital. When I go to the ER my doctor would take weeks so I called my dad to get in immediately. Our blood labs are done every 90 days on the dot, prior to that when I lived out of town for a decade the medical care was awful, it took a month to book and work ups for my autoimmune issues were a nightmare. Being able to have a doctor on call has changed my family’s life 😩 I wish it were the same for everyone.

Hmmmmm…healthier? That’s debatable … they just have better access to better healthcare when these emergencies happen

This is anyone with health insurance if you’re responsible, don’t need to be rich. Scheduling an appointment, doing blood work, calling your doctor directly. It’s responsibility not wealth
