I love this so much! I wish more moms had the support of their partners like this. It makes such a huge difference in the postpartum experience. I’m lucky to also have a very supportive and helpful husband. I feel so bad for those who don’t.

my professor and his wife have four kids. he told me once that he would be upset when she didn't wake him up for nighttime feeds (he's a very heavy sleeper apparently) because even though she was breastfeeding, he wanted to be sure he could take care of her and the baby while they nursed. usually he would end up burping the baby after she nursed. they are literally the cutest couple I know and I love hearing him talk about his wife, because you can tell how much he loves her.
