We just got our power and cell service back today, but many of our friends are still without. This was far more intense than any of us expected. So thankful for the crews working in freezing conditions to restore power.

We don’t have power and won’t for days. Our generator broke but we luckily got another one. I’m a nurse so I have to get into work tomorrow in nashville so hopefully the roads don’t refreeze, but I’m staying at in-laws with my daughter who have power and my husband is staying at the house taking care of all the animals. It’s def worse then we thought but hopefully gets better soon 🥺

That’s what Texas went through back in 2021!! It’s so scary because like Nashville, Texas is not prepared for situations like that like other states. I remember being out of power for a week and a half! So thankful that 2021 prepared us for this year

I tried to tough it out without a generator but it just got too cold. My fur baby and I found a hotel to call home until my power is back. I am fortunate to have family who can help me do this, but I feel for the people still in their homes.

Ice is worse than snow. A 1/4 inch of ice = 100 lbs or so. 1/2” of ice can equal up to 500 lbs. Hope you all stay safe. We sent crews from MI to help. ❤

Have you tried to turn the fuzzy part of the top of your coat inside your hood? I’ve seen a few videos about turning it inside the hood. It’s supposed to help keep the wind from going in your hood! And oh my gosh that’s so much ice!!

A Silver Thaw. Very pretty but scary and can be dangerous. We’ve had those here in Portland and that ice does so much damage.

Had an ice storm and listened to the trees snap and pop all night. No electric so the cracking and falling was terrifying. We lost a pile the bottom 10 feet of about 50 pine trees. Sending good vibes. It really is scary.

From Missouri here so we do get ice from time to time-if you happen to drive and get in a wreck STAY in your Car until help arrives. Safest place to be.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I live in Indiana and luckily we still have power but yes, it has been bad up here with snow ice everything we’ve not had school in the last four days so it’s been really bad. I pray you get power back quickly and you stay warm. I know you said you had a generator, but I just hope it lasts for you guys. Praying that you stay safe and your kiddos are OK. Stay warm. Stay inside.🙏🙏💕💕💕💕
