I don't know about this specifically, but many things marketed as silk these days are not silk. I had so many silk scarves in the '90s. nothing these days feels right

Viscose is still a semi synthetic material. The kaftan I have is made with the same 70/30 fabric but I love it to the moon. I’ll be buying one of those silk kimonos as soon as the brown one is back in stock.

Idk, I ordered mulberry silk pillowcases and they pilled up with these weird super elastic fibers. Was definitely not real silk.

If you know you can tell what fabric are just by feel mist of the time.. also silk, wool, cotton, are all durable and not disposable like polyester..

I love that this particular seller actually puts the fiber content in the listings! So many don’t, and it’s also so common for polyester satin to be called silk. We should all be reporting that when we see it.
