Since I started freediving around 2014/2015 my right ear always equalises immediately. I just need the most gentle „air squeeze“ and it’s done. And my left ear always equalises later and needs more pressure. I guess my left eustachian tube is more narrow than the right one? It was like that all my life

Another technique I learned recently is to look up. It opens up the tubes opposed to looking straight or downwards pinching them. I don’t have any trouble equalizing, can sink like a rock but it’s something I needed to learn to help others get to the bottom.. of things..
