@milkin_mamas: We kept saying we’re “saving the farm.” But really we’re saving ourselves… The biggest mistake a business owner can make is not taking care of the person running the business. If we can’t pay our bills, make ends meet, enjoy time with our families, or do things that fill us up… we won’t show up the way we need to on the farm and could end up resenting it. You can’t carry something forward for five generations on empty. Protecting what’s been in our family isn’t just about working harder or holding on tighter.
