I am her older brother Mat. Kate left us 1.30am Sunday 1st. Her last few days, she was surrounded by dozens of family and friends, some of whom came from far away, which is a testament to my sister. There were some tears, but lots of laughter recalling stories of her amazing life. I know she loved doing her posts here, and want to thank you all for helping her on her journey.

I am so sorry Makayla. She would be so proud of you. Keep looking after you. I lost my Mum to pancreatic cancer, and then last month my dad to brain cancer. I hope your mum finds comfort in the treatments and for you to find peace and joy in the little moments.

Sweetheart this is a life moment I think everyone would agree is happening for you too soon. Go and be in the moment, lean on family and friends and be present. Just being there will be plenty to help bring some peace to the moments that come.
