Dealerships rely on the Sunk Cost Fallacy. They want you to come in, waste an hour or two, so you're "invested". They are a scam.

Why are so many dealerships against doing a deal over the phone or providing numbers? It really makes me want to ask if you are so confident in having the best deal why are you so against showing this “deal” if it’s the best and you claim to beat anyone’s numbers then prove it. 🙄 I don’t think they would enjoy having this conversation with me. I would turn this around on them so fast and make them eat their own words!!

When I bought my car 2 years ago, the saleswoman texted me because I had traded in a car like a long time ago to them. They were offering 1.9% interest rates on new cars. I kinda was looking and they had what I wanted. Got me numbers for my trade and out the door price over text. Went in signed papers and out. Easy. It’s not hard to sell cars, you just gotta WANT to sell them
