Now she is in critical condition. America has INTUSSUSCEPTION — a severe, fast-moving, often fatal intestinal emergency where the intestine telescopes into itself, cutting off blood supply and causing tissue death. ⚠️ Without immediate surgery, she will die. What makes this even more urgent: America also has a severe upper respiratory infection, which makes anesthesia higher risk. The surgery is complicated, but without it, she has no chance at survival. America already fought her way out of the shelter. She survived the deadline yesterday. She made it into rescue. And now, almost immediately after being saved, she is once again fighting for her life — right now. Everything she endured only matters if she gets this surgery in time. There is no waiting, no “later,” no room for delay. This surgery normally costs around $8,000, but the clinic caring for America has fallen in love with her and generously reduced the cost to $2,500 for rescue.
