@jessleewong92: Healing those “daddy issues” has been quite a difficult journey for me. But I haven’t allowed the tears, the discomfort or the pain to derail my path. Seeing my father for lunch was extrewy difficult, but I believe it’s a step in the right direction✨
please give him some grace and keep an open mind, sometimes its hard for them too and they are dealing with the regret and the shame, but keep a light heart, u cant get back those years u miss but get to know him, hold his hand walk with him call him dad tell him u love him even though it might feel weird because when the time comes and he not around that empty space in chest will never be filled

Powerful testimony. My 32 year old daughter and I have re-developed our relationship within the last three years. One day, one family event, one dinner at a time. The key is to be intentional and time will allow the relationship to heal.

Wow I can hear the emotion in your voice and see it in your face. I can only imagine what your feeling and where you are in this relationship with your father. First, he showed up, He's trying. As we pray for you, you pray for him. God will heal the wound of time. Second, don't give up. Even though your 33, deep in your heart you miss him, and you need him. Not to take care of you, but to love and affirm you as his daughter. What ever happen to cause the separation, embrace the time now. Don't move to fast, always guard your heart, but embrace this time. Praying for you!

First! You have to decide if you really want your father in your life. I am a 70 year old divorced dad. I divorced when my daughter and son were toddlers. I had very strained relationship with the children's mother! My X did everybody she could you make me miserable and put wedges between me and the children. No matter what happen between the children's mouths and me, I never let very in the way of my relationship with my children, especially my daughter! What you say is true about a father being very important in a daughters life! Very True! My daughter will be 36 years old in a couple days, Feb 13. She is my sunshine and she is successful. She is married and very happy in life! Keep in mind every man is not wired the same. Ask yourself, do you really know why your father absent himself from your life. I can tell you. Give him s chance! Also, keep this in mind, with all of the trying times I went through with the children's mother, I Never EVER Bad Mouthed their mother to them. I wasnt so fortunate! Give your father a chance! Believe me later in life it will benefit you both! I hear you dear daughter! Get your father in your life. Peace and Good Bless you!

It's ok to have these feelings hunny.. Better to wade through them to get where you want to be than to live in what ifs and regret when he's gone.. everything takes time 🫂

My daughter just turned 12. I miss her so much. Her mum is playing games with letting me see her. It's so frustrating. It's been 6 years of separation now and I know she miss me too. I'll keep trying to get her on my side. May God protect her always.

Open your heart if his heart is open. Never too late. You need both parents, he has a unique prospective. I do not know why it took so long, but better late than never.

Thank you very much I needed to hear this. I have three daughters. The oldest reconnected with me and have a great relationship. I haven't heard from the two youngest in over 21 years. This was very educational.
