@sahars_suburban_garden: I had to remove all my big garden beds and shift my focus to container growing, but I really didn’t want that to mean giving up on climbing plants like cucumbers, rockmelons, beans, and tomatoes. So I built this DIY trellis wall on our balcony using trellis panels from Bunnings, a sturdy stake, and zip ties. The panels are fixed close together, with a stake in the centre of each one for strength, and then the whole thing is zip-tied to the balcony railing. The stake part is really important, especially once the plants get big and heavy and start climbing. It’s simple, it’s sturdy, and it means I can still grow all the big, vining plants I love, even in containers. Take this as a little reminder (and hopefully some inspiration) that you can grow almost anything, almost anywhere, as long as you have good soil and enough sunlight 🌱 Would you try something like this in your space?

legend, love when people post the how-tos! the panels can get exxy when doing a large space - in that case, weld mesh becomes cheaper if you have the means to transport it 😊
