“Mandatory overtime” is such an alien concept for me. How can an employer decide that you’re not allowed to leave after you’ve finished your shift?!

Any employer that fires an employee under these circumstances is asking for a lawsuit!

I would not feel comfortable having a nurse that worked 16+ hours tend to me. It’s unsafe and that woman really needs sleep.

If they are FORCING you to work irrational, unreasonable, insane humanly impossible hours, they clearly do not care about your health and wellbeing. As a result, we can ascertain they do not care about the health and wellbeing of their patients either. That's not just wrongful termination. That is medical NEGLIGENCE.
