Been there done that. Shutting it off on old systems causes more problems than the one your fixing on this line. Infrastructure money scarce.

Wow that’s not a relief valve designed to do this job. It’s called a corp stop and it is designed to tap a water main to attach a service line to a meter to supply water to a customer. This is a joke

no, we keep water on so we dont have to take tests to epa. if pressure goes under 20psi we have to test the water. and issue a boil order.
