As someone from Southeast Asia, I usually just match the vibe when I’m in Jpn. if you’re friendly, I’m friendly, if you seem uncomfortable around foreigners, I’ll just quietly mind my own business. But saying Southeast Asians are pickpockets? Come on. We’re literally out here spending way too much money in your country just buying snacks and souvenirs to take home. Like we’re losing money, not stealing it 😂

like why would southeastasians steal your wallet? we’re literally tourists who need to obtain visa and purchase expensive flight to get to japan and that might cost even more than your purse!!

If Southeast Asians go to Japan, they’re usually rich. They won’t pickpocket you. Some of their houses are even bigger than those in Japan. 😂
