I was born and raised in this environment. Yes it looks dreadful, but I actually had the time of my life during this era as a child. We played in theseb abandoned buildings, stripped cars, and jumped on dirty mattresses. The Bronx now looks a thousand times better than this. There’s still wide spread poverty and crime though.
