Getting upset over a woman wearing a hijab ain't it, or a woman choosing to be part of a religon. How exactly is that "empowered woman" liberal feminism? Religon is oppressive when nationalized and very male centred, but an hijabi literally doing as she wishes contridicts both radical islamism and the colonists savior mindset of "white man saves brown woman from brown man". As a non religious person living in previously colonised country that is now currently under martial rule that hides behind religion, this western radical viewpoint of defaming women isn't it. This "I know better" is nativity, arrogance and zero knowledge in history, cause sometimes y'all be sounding exactly like white men who claimed they bombed countries to save the citizens

This is really interesting, and I do agree. Though I’m kinda curious about the makeup take. Is it to do with makeup being inherently made for the male gaze, or the thought of thinking of men in anyway when wearing makeup? Sorry if that doesn’t make sense. But as a lesbian who’s also on the non-binary spectrum (and does drag queen makeup all the time) I’m not sure I agree with the take that makeup = inherently for the male gaze. When I put my makeup on every morning it’s purely for my self confidence and to feel hot for my girlfriend. Men genuinely don’t cross my mind at all, considering that as a lesbian I barely even interact with men. Ygm?
