From 2014 - 2018 Ronaldo won 4 out of 5 UCL’s with 3 of them being in a row and he was the top scorer and best player in all of them… also winning the Euros in 2016… Barcelona bottled it like 3 x in a row against Roma, Bayern etc. and Messi retired from Argentina in that time. People really think Ronaldo wasn’t better during any of that… come on man.

imagine, Suarez had stayed few more years in Barcelona after Messi, and won UCL and laliga and balloon dor. then moved to mls and played for Orlando City and win mls cup before Messi and knocked out Messi from league cup. Then what will be the narrative? of course you will say Messi was carried by Suarez in Barcelona but in reality Benzema did the same thing to Ronaldo but no one talks about it.

Messi's main job is to dictate play and create. Ronaldo's main job is to score goals. Yet Messi is still a better goal scorer along with everything else he does
