So much for being from a "civilized" country—your behavior is low-class, racist, and rude. Just because you’re visiting Thailand doesn’t mean you can act like scum in someone else’s country. Mutual respect and proper etiquette are paramount. When people tried to correct you, they were simply pointing out—politely—how one ought to behave in public. In Thailand, we call this having a rotten character and lacking any parental upbringing. And to think there was a teacher in your group—it’s appalling that an educator would teach students to be so ill-mannered. If you had actually behaved decently, would Thais ever have criticized you? Thai people are among the kindest you’ll find.
