It’s not my job to police how others prepare their meat, especially wild game, since i know a lot of trouble goes into hunting it. Bear meat is just like any other meat in the sense that there are some parameters to follow while making it that ensure you don’t get sick. Trichinellosis roundworm is widespread in bears, and their meat needs to be thoroughly cooked, since freezing wont kill said parasite. Rule of thumb is to bring it to 160°F and rest it for 3 minutes prior to eating. As long as you do this, eating bear is just fine. In truth, the biggest risk is getting sick while dressing it.
