@kirk.jumpp: Anchor bolts lock the wall plate to the concrete beam, preventing uplift and sideways movement from wind. This connection is critical because the roof is only as strong as what holds it down.

Why are builder deliberately using 1 1/2” as their preferred measure, when covering beam steel with concrete, the recommended measure is 3”, the industry standard is 2 1/2” and 2” is average, so anything below 2” is below average and is destined to fail

you are on the right track. However you can make it even safer if you install one of these rods in every rafter. The rafter must only be a maximum of 2ft apart. With this setup, the roof can handle Cat5 hurricane winds with ease.

Only think I'd recommend is staggering those j Bolts, just so all of them done fall in the center grain of the wood! But the work look good!
