First thing you need to know is once your debt is sold to a third party it’s no longer your problem because you dont have a contract with them but first step I filed a report with my local police department (CAD REPORT FILE A CAD REPORT) to document the situation. I explained that I am working on fixing my credit and discovered accounts that I do not recognize or remember opening I gathered the information for each collection account. I submitted disputes with the credit bureaus for each account and included documentation the police report. In each dispute I stated that the debts are unfamiliar and potentially fraudulent.I also contacted the collection agencies directly and requested validation of the debts, including an itemized bill, proof of the original account, and documentation showing they have the right to collect the debt. The collection agencies refused to provide any proof and under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) a debt collector is required to provide verification of a debt once it has been disputed and must stop collection activity until that information is provided. The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) requires that credit reporting agencies verify disputed information through a reasonable investigation before continuing to report it since no proper documentation was provided, I documented the collectors’ refusal and included this information in my disputes. I also filed complaints with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) using the same documents and the prompt from Chargpt from each question they asked The amounts totaled under $1,500, so that could play a role in why it went quick don’t give no information if they ask for a current address give them any address not the one you reside it hell it could be the next for neighbor but dont admit to nothingggggg just ask for proof of the bill and if they don’t give it to you tell them to enjoy their day
