Did you get my summer reading list for AP lit?! Wuthering Heights and In Cold Blood were books I taught high school They're for sure not for everyone, but they are PACKED with great ways to teach literature and non fiction. I totally get why folks don't enjoy them, and the semester was tough when I could tell the class wasn't into it. Great list, I'm going to have to join this year!

Just read Giovanni’s Room, and I hate to admit but don’t get the hype. Is it because of the subject matter and the time it was written? The writing was great, but I feel like there’s a lot of great writing out there. Truly curious to know why you, and many others, think it’s such a masterpiece.

I read the Barnes n noble e-book version of Dracula and I think the context they added really helped me enjoy that book.

wuthering heights was frustrating, no likeable characters except maybe 1 of the servants. only read it so I could watch the movie thats coming out which looks to be loosely based on the book. It has to be better than the book it just has ti be. Dracula also lost so much steam half way through.

There are some people on the internet who—when their videos pop up—I heart it immediately and then settle in to watch. I just KNOW it’s going to be good.

Here's what I'd like to know: do you keep a reading journal with notes, or do ou just have an elephants memory and can remember all of these books, what they were about, and how you felt reading them? :)

Isn’t reading great?! I find it fascinating that someone can love a book while others hate it. I luuuvvvv Wuthering Heights. A fantastic read for me. Also loved In Cold Blood. Giovanni’s Room was just okay. Nothing special for me.

In Cold Blood is a fascinating story, but the movie as well as the film with PSH called Capote are both better. And I liked the book, but I found the journalistic writing refreshing.

I didn’t care for In Cold Blood either. I think it was probably good & haunting when it came out but there’s been so many crazy violent stories since then that it seemed tame to me.
