When my grandmother got her other children vaccinated for polio she WEPT. She had my uncle who was very sick from polio , she was just relieved that none of her other children would have to suffer like that.

My parents grew up before the polio vaccine and had friends who suffered polio. I can't believe the upside down world we are now living in.

100%. My husband is a building official and he thinks the same thing about them rolling back code enforcement. They are now going to be less safe because it’s more cost-effective. We’ve gotten so good at the buildings are not falling down and people not electrocuting themselves that they now rollback codes that were specifically in place because shit like that used to happen. People have short memories.

I was antivax for 10 years. What set me on the path to being very pro vaccine was the show Call The Midwife. I could no longer do the mental gymnastics it took to believe everything else in the show was realistic but the illnesses from VPDs was propaganda.
