Honey, those things just happen sometimes and it’s a shame. I’m a retired, psych nurse, & one of the craziest people I ever met was the social worker who would sit at my feet under the nurses station desk during report & hide from parents during visiting hours on an adolescent unit. The majority are great but every now & then you get a batshit crazy therapist. I’m sorry that happened to you. And the combination of liability that you talked about plus good insurance is a real thing. I had sweet self injurious teenage guy that told me point-blank he was going to go home & kill himself. His mom had pimped him out for most of his life. He had terrible insurance. I told the doctor everything I heard him say & begged him to keep him. He told me he wanted to keep him just as bad as I did, but his insurance said he had to go. He went home & hung himself within hours from his bunkbed. It still haunts me. Sometimes medical people err on the side of caution. Sometimes they wish they had & it can affect their future choices.

Girl this is exactly why I have always been scared to tell my doctors I had ppd. I’ve had it 3 times. That’s actually so scary!

I definitely would have fallen for that multiple choice question too..especially being exhausted. I'm glad you were able to go home fairly quickly. What an experience. Best wishes!
