My TFSA is a big part of my retirement plan. I run the numbers OFTEN and it makes me giddy. That baby is gonna be 2-4 million in 25 years or something insane. 🥰🥰

Nah dude, we gotta stop calling investments and savings like they are different. Investing is a form of saving, it’s retirement savings.

I don't get it, if you invest the money in stocks then it's not in your TFSA any more? Someone please explain!

That’s because people who work for the governments have government pensions, and they don’t need to learn about investing 😭🤣

Most folks usually go to a financial advisor to open and manage an account for them. The confusion comes when people open an account where they have to self manage. There’s definitely a learning curve and should just be taught in school.

You don't get your contribution room back after you withdraw. The only new contribution room you get if you're maxed out is the new contribution room for the next year.

Yeah just said this today. What’s the point if you aren’t making any interest. Tax free. On nothing. Invest is the only way.

if you make some good gains the CRA will want their share by calling it a business - if you loose it's ok
