I don’t get the hype with saltair .They just don’t smell very good. So many things out there that smell and work so much better.

“I had a convulsion. I don’t remember anything. I woke up and wanted to play. I convinced everyone I was fine.” The 1998 World Cup final was meant to be the grand stage for Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima-“O Fenômeno”—to officially claim his throne as the greatest footballer on the planet. At just 21, he had dazzled the world with his explosive pace, sublime technique, and unstoppable finishing. The final against host nation France was supposed to be the moment he ascended to footballing immortality. Instead, it became one of the sport’s greatest mysteries. Just hours before kickoff at the Stade de France, chaos erupted in the Brazil camp. Ronaldo, the focal point of Brazil’s attack, was suddenly missing from the team sheet. Shock rippled through the media, teammates, and fans. The initial word was that Ronaldo had been dropped for “medical reasons,” replaced by Edmundo in the starting XI. But then, just 72 minutes before the match began, he was back in the lineup. Behind the scenes, something surreal had unfolded. In the early afternoon, Ronaldo had reportedly suffered a seizure in his hotel room at the Château de Grande Romaine in Lésigny. It was Roberto Carlos, his close friend and teammate, who discovered him convulsing and unconscious. Panic set in. Roberto Carlos rushed to call for help, and medical staff from the team and local emergency responders were quickly on the scene. Ronaldo was taken to a nearby hospital, underwent tests, and was reportedly declared fit by evening. But he wasn’t the same. On the field, Ronaldo looked like a shadow of himself - slow, unfocused, and distant. Brazil collapsed, losing 3-0 to France in what should have been a close contest. Zidane stole the night with a brace, while Ronaldo expected to shine-left fans heartbroken and confused. In the aftermath, questions poured in. Why was Ronaldo allowed to play? Did Nike, Brazil’s powerful sponsor, pressure the federation? Why was Edmundo named in the team sheet, only for Ronaldo to replace him so late? The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) and team doctors insisted Ronaldo had been cleared medically, but the cloud of suspicion never lifted. #fifaworldcup #ronaldo #brasil #fifa #zidane #france #worldcup #brazil #futbol
