I thought terrorism was about scaring people. If someone throws a bomb at civilians and it doesn’t explode, how is that not terrorism? People were terrified either way. Yet the government refuses to label it terrorism, claiming it wasn’t directed at a specific group—and conveniently ignoring the fact that the attacker wasn’t Muslim or Middle Eastern. If the same act had been committed by someone with a different background, the label would have been instant. So the question is simple: is terrorism defined by the act itself, or by who commits it?
