It’s kind of like what Penelope said, Eloise is just a talker. She disapproves of society and the misogyny women face, but at the end of the day she will do nothing to change it. She will do nothing to change her course, she’s going to rebel for her youth than fall in love and become exactly what she hates when she’s older because she like everyone else in society is complacent.

Haven't you guys read the books? Sure, she's a different in the show, but the pattern is the same. She rejects a lot of proposals, becomes a spinster, and then looks at her siblings and decides she wants to feel love TOO so she goes to Philip without telling anyone.

so... i am soooo intrigued how they are going to handle that storyline. Tv show eloise would rather die than end up like book eloise. So... in my head either they will make Philip be this iconic feminist king and support her need for independence or they will make her be this icon of women enpowerment for HIS kids to help change the future generation (i dont know guys, tv eloise is so muddled up for me i dont know where her season will go)
