in addition to iron supplements every other day I also incorporated more liver, beets etc into my diet. as well as supported my liver more. I got my ferritin from 12 to 114

Is there any chance you might have Celiac Disease? I had no idea why I had such low iron and it was because I had silent Celiac. No symptoms other than low iron 😳

Same thing happened to me. My progesterone was low so they gave me a progesterone IUD and it stopped most likely you probably have low progesterone and or maybe possible fibroids in your uterus.

Had a hysterectomy last year at 45. Im 1 yr post opt this week. My iron and Ferratin have finally climbed. I have been on an iron supplement since I was 16!! My Ferratin went from 9 last Jan to 42 this week.

I get iron infusions every week and still doesn’t go higher than an 8 … scheduled for a hysterectomy Feb 16 hopefully that helps with this iron deficiency
