I stopped breaking rules because of the process I built underneath them. For years I tried to train patience, discipline, and consistency directly. I read the books. I watched the videos. I promised myself I'd stick to the rules this time. Nothing ever changed. I stopped trying to work on those traits and started working on the components of trading instead. Direction first. I mastered reading where the market was going before I touched anything else. Then entries. Then exits. Each one drilled until it ran without thinking, and I only moved on when the last one was locked in. A pro athlete doesn't get good at their sport by playing the sport. They get good by mastering the parts. Technique. Strength. Speed. In sequence. Trading works the same way. Once the components were in place, I set a graduated risk model. I traded at a defined risk and had to execute the plan without mistakes. When I could, the risk scaled. When I couldn't, it didn't. I earned the next level by proof. The rules I follow now came out of that process. They aren't rules I made up in a burst of motivation. They're rules the process had already validated. Breaking one would mean undoing work I'd earned. Patience, discipline, and consistency showed up on their own. By the time I'd built the components and the risk model, the traits were already there. I never worked on them directly. Most traders try to fix the result. The result was never the lever. The process is. Comment FIX and I'll hop on a free 1-1 conversation. We'll figure out what's actually stopping your trading and build a plan to fix it. #tradepsychology #tradingcoach #mentaltrading #tradermindset #tradingpsychology
