Oh hey, it's me! :
It's hard to let go of the guilt. I had taken my pup to the vet (on a Friday) because she was losing weight quickly and the vet was ready to put her down immediately. I was so upset because i needed a few people to come say goodbye to her. The vet gave us some pain meds for her and we had an appointment to say goodbye to her on Monday. Everyone came over to say goodbye and we held her and loved on her every minute. Sunday night she passed away in my daughter's arms. My daughter was HER person! I always feel horrible and selfish for keeping her around the whole weekend hoping she wasn't in any pain. I will always be thankful that she left us while being held and loved by her favorite person! ❤

There’s so much guilt for me. From her last 2 days, to the times I looked at her water dish and thought “I’ll clean it tonight” - everything. I just wish I’d done more for her. Because she deserved everything. I miss her so much.

Also, just to add to this, I lost four babies this week, and I know that might sound bad in the comments, but I mean animal babies. I lost my two ducks, including Peanut, the one I raised and hatched by hand, and then my goat was pregnant with triplets but only one survived. I tried so hard to save the others, and I didn’t even know there was a third until she was standing there screaming at me and I could tell something wasn’t right—when I finally looked, I saw a tiny, severely underdeveloped baby in the corner. I lost my ducks on Monday and the two goat babies on Wednesday, but at the end of the week, I’m left with one, and her name is Soma.

Wow. Just the other day I was once again beating myself up and thinking I just gave up on her (she was hit by a car and it was pretty bad) but I genuinely think/thought I did the best for her so she wouldn't suffer and now I just wonder and I feel so much guilt so thank you for this. It makes me feel a bit better.
