I am in my early 20s and am a lesbian who has always wanted to be a mom, I know that regardless of being single or not I’ll have to go through fertility treatments. I am planning to freeze my eggs soon as I’m aware they’re at their best quality now. I don’t think we talk about this enough especially to young women. This is also securing your future, it’s giving you peace of mind as well as the possibility to chose and plan life on your own terms. My advice to fellow young women, do your research, learn more about your own bodies and prepare for your future, we won’t be this young forever. Even if you’re unsure, keep your possibilities of choice safe xx

Froze my eggs at 33! First birth at 39, second birth will be at 41 (currently 11 weeks). Best insurance policy I ever gave myself.

love this idea! I think single people in general get short end of stick w gifts (no wedding shower or baby shower etc.) Perhaps instead of bday/holiday gifts people can ask for a contribution toward a fertility fund.
