Just to clarify, when we describe Nabi ﷺ, it’s more accurate to say he was ‘unlettered’ rather than ‘illiterate.’ The Arabic word in the Qur’an is ‘ummī,’ which means he wasn’t formally taught to read or write. But in English, ‘illiterate’ can sound like ignorance — and that’s not what we believe at all. His being unlettered is actually part of the miracle of the Qur’an. @diaryroom
