I understand what you mean when you compare Australia to America. They look different but they are not. Australia hides its racism. For example many people who live here don’t celebrate Australia Day as it is painful for the aboriginals, who are the true owner of this land. There has been many protest begging the government to abolish his day but they chose not to. I know that your day This was the date slaughter their people and took over the land yet Australian celebrate this day. That is an example of covert racism and to me it is more diabolical because it’s slow quiet and undetectable. Bottom line ever Western country is built on the same system, they may present differently but they’re all the same ultimately. This is coming from a citizen of Australia by the way.💕

I’ve always loved Australia. I spent a week in Brisbane and it felt so good. I even lost my phone and was a mess and felt so supported by strangers! The country has always been somewhere that I kept my eyes on.

Aussie here, we have some deep root racist beliefs here. We are not what we like to portray. We have political figures that are actively take notes out of Trumps play book. I would like Australia to be what you see but its unfortunately not.
