Type one sentence: "Sort this folder so a new hire could find anything, and tell me what's out of date." 4. It reads every file, PDFs, Word docs, spreadsheets, and moves nothing. 5. It shows you a plan: folders for customers, invoices, quotes, price lists and contracts, one naming rule (date first, then the customer, then what it is), a list of duplicates, and the files it isn't sure about. 6. Say yes. It moves and renames everything in the plan and writes a one-page index of where each kind of file lives. 7. Read the report: which price list is current and why, which templates still have the old phone number, which invoices have no job to match them. 8. Keep it clean: connect Claude to where your files come from (shared drive, Google Drive, email attachments), save the sorting as a Claude skill, and run it once a week for a short report of what it moved and what it left for you. Three rules make it reliable: run it on a copy the first time, ask for the plan before any change, and anything it isn't sure about goes on a list for you. It doesn't guess. Works for plumbers, contractors, trades, accountants, agencies, clinics, offices, any small business with a shared drive, Dropbox or OneDrive folder that got out of hand.
