the 29 is wrong in total only 3 dollars was subrtacted from the bill, the server took 2 for tip, and the actual total was 25 and the full total after tip would be 27, not 29

No 27 is the final cost for the meal INCLUDING the 2 dollars tip you dont add the tip to what you paid. So 25 for the meal and 2 for the tip comes to a 27 total (25 + 2)

why did i do this :
this riddle is just a matter of poor storytelling. after he refunds you each 1 dollar you paid "the restraunt" a total of 27 dollars (9 + 9 + 9). 25 of that went to the bill and 2 to the tip.
