I remember one review at the time Xanadu was released that trashed the movie but also firmly stated that it wasn’t Olivia’s fault. The critic’s thinking was the movie failed her but she did not fail the movie. I agree. Olivia acquitted herself well and was worth watching and the music was good so the movie was not totally lacking in redeeming qualities no matter what some reviews said.

She was really uncomfortable here, but she handled it like a pro. She didn’t need to hear the bad reviews. I’m sure she saw them. She always tries to remain positive. She found the good in Xanadu and you can’t deny that it still has an audience some 46 years later.
