I worked at a LaQuinta in college, almost 30 years ago. Check-in was 3pm then, checkout was 11. Not sure how old you are, but in my almost 50 years on this planet, I’ve never seen a 11am check in time at any hotel I’ve worked at or stayed in.

As a desk agent, 11am CHECK IN makes absolutely no sense at all. You’re asking guests to leave way earlier just so you can have a room in the morning.

First job was the front desk of the Opryland Hotel, 1985. Check out by 11am Check in 3pm. Late out, rare Noon. Early in, rare 2pm.

Sometimes they still let you check in early if one you are nice and two if no one had your room the night before.

Check in has never been 11am anywhere. That's been check OUT time as long as I've been an adult. Check in had always been 2-4 depending on the hotel.

I’ve gotten an 11 AM check in after an early flight. I asked politely if there was any way they could help me or store my bag. I told them I understood if they couldn’t. And they checked me in.

Thought it was obvious that they need time to flip the rooms before the next people come in. He o you expect them to do that with a 11am Check out and 11am or even 12pm check in….

If the hotel is full, you aren’t getting an 1100 check in. That is the check out time. Always has and always will be. I spent many weekends in hotels during the 90s for school travel sports and I spent hours in practice, a restaurant, or in the car just studying waiting for the 3 or 4pm check in time. Every once in a while there wouldn’t be full occupancy, we would get lucky and get into a room before then but it has *never* been standard policy. Now that I adult, over the last decade and a half spending 100+ days per year in hotels, nothing has changed. If the cleaning staff is there *and* the previous occupants left early, may get a chance to get in earlier but it’s never a guarantee even with status.

Most hotels I stay at allow you to check in early, but it’s not guaranteed that your room will be ready. There’s normally a place to store your luggage :)
