@big.dog.behaviour: Powerful breeds need clear communication, a calm and direct approach, positive and also stern reinforcement, exposure and also freedom. Any dog can have reactivity minimized if the root cause of it is diagnosed correctly and the correct approach is taken. #DogTraining #bigdogbehaviour #rottweiler #reactivedog #

Tips on how to stay calm? When this happens I think I am calm and I still get the same result lately it has been better but I think my body is reacting when he’s reacting.

i’m so confused. you said no training tools but use a pinch. making the dog stay in a reactive situation?? you turn and go the other direction the second you see reactivity and never let someone reach for a dog that’s “on”. 30 years of rescue, training an showing rotts dobes and canes. plus muzzle a reactive dog for safety until they have some semblance of control.

My 3year old is like this he’s 130lbs, please advice, I’ve gotten hurt pretty bad walking him and now I get extreme anxiety when I have to take him out. He especially does not like it when people look at us.

I'm not anxious at all, relaxed at every time and no hysterical body movements, but my "anxious" male German Shepherd does this every time. I have a female too, but she is confident and so no problem with her. My dog trainer gave me instructions on how to handle the dog with good corrections with the leash and I improved my communication, but I have to do that every time, so his behaviour was not "extinguished" at all and sometimes if the distance is not enough for him the only thing that save me are my muscle (luckily I practice combat sports) 😮‍💨 Compliments for the result with this dog and for your strength (you have a great body, another woman at your place would be completely dragged by the rott).

If it wasn't for Ceasar Milan, I don't think I'd ever be able to do, what I can with my rotti. (2 1/2 male.) Energy is key, along with consistency. What you put in, you get back 10 fold. 💯
