Chronic migraine here. Hasn’t broken for 5 YEARS! I’ve haven’t been below a 7 1/2 in 5 years. Usually at an 8 1/2-9 DAILY. Most people just don’t get it.

Yes I can do activities. No the pain is still there. Yes I'm slower at it. I have huge recovery time. Just doing laundry and making dinner had me crying last night but I can't stop living

Also, my pain at 9 or 10 am is significantly different than my pain at 3 or 4 pm. Or the pain at the time I made the appointment was an 8 but by the time I'm at the doctor it's a 3. I hate those rate your pain questions!!

I always tell my providers that my pain scale is a 0-20 because I live at a 7/8 daily. helps them understand alot more.

I always explain to my doctors that my daily pain is a 3, labor and births was a 7-8, kidneys stones were my 9, and gallstones are my 10 (the worst pain *ive* ever experienced) and then I rate my pain for that day based on *my* pain scale. typically anything less than a 5 I don't even bother going to the doctor. so the fact that im even in the office should he a concern.
