hi tiffany! I love the way that you explain product management. in some aspect of our personal/professional lives we have all used the core skills of this career. what makes this career so unique is that it really professionalizes and hones in on those innate skills like listening, translating needs, and facilitating compromises. a pm is like a universal translator. you're constantly listening to the 'language' of the customer (their pain points and desires), the 'language' of engineering (technical constraints and possibilities), the 'language' of business (goals and metrics), and the 'language' of design (ux/ui). the fun lies in finding the intersection where all these languages align into a single, coherent plan and making sure that everyone is on board. its architecturing a new space where everyone feels heard and the solution is greater than any single person could have imagined on their own. since this role involves working with very different people to come up with novel solutions, there's a built in cycle of constantly learning, discovering, synthesizing, and building which is incredibly rewarding and humbling. although my current work is only product management adjacent, I would love to learn more and get started with your template to begin practicing the workflow that would help me build the right foundation and mindset to eventually make the transition.

I’m interested in pm because I like the idea of being responsible for create something new. I’d like to think I have an entrepreneurial mind and I think being able to “own” and develop/launch new products and features sounds like something I would do really well. I’d love a copy!
