No exactly. Old money and especially “quietly luxurys” one gimmick is that it would be boring and irrelevant if not for the fact that the basic beige Trenchcoat is actually 15k 🤯. Cuz also I’m not the type of person to judge somone for what they wear but if u have that amount of money and that’s the best u can do the hate is 100% deserved.

Im taking a fem theory criticism in art class and we talked about class and how people dress, most low/working class will “hate” their class bc they have to stray away from it in order to make it “higher up”, same reason why people who are “higher up” in class will dress down to relate to and connect with lower middle class… in my context it was about artists being politically radical but depending on the millionaires for income, so rich artists dressing down to keep a relatability and connection to what fuels their art, like working class struggle, even tho they depend on rich collectors and institutions like museums to be seeing it and buying it

old money has heirlooms like those handmade books Vass furniture is heavy like real oak they have family tree's not the made up fantasy of old public records that sneaky dude on history Channel had was walked paid programming like Ancestry DNA we're told that we're all acceptable by blood relations and it's just nigrig bs like hidden history 😂 sure I don't think people take account of wars invasions and manuscripts weren't written with so much detail and on paper made today it's fibers and skins that need to be preserved like in the libraries in Spain or they mold and crumble it's like old swords they don't have a chrome luster and nothing was made squared cimetrically cc there's metric and centric by rulers people couldn't mold or shape perfect objects by just chipping away with picks and hammers you know? There was a security bond with the Roman catholic church and the inquisition was a criminal investigation that the black plague was a criminal organization or groups murdering people to steal their wealth and sell on the black markets .
