Girl! I am experiencing the same in the same in this winter break. I am a physics major and after 4 semesters I feel like I am losing myself. I used to do painting and art 2 years back before getting into college and gave up due to studies . Now I feel a shallow deep hole inside me asking me Am I really this. Am I not an artist. why did i push aside the things I used to love🤕 I made up my mind last night that whether wherever i go , I am always gonna stay an artist 🎨 ✨️

Gave up my fancy New York internship my junior year of college to be a raft guide because it’s truly what I wanted to do and I didn’t want to conform to the mold. That experience truly made me a better person and friend, and showed me that I can love math so much but also be very connected with the outdoors. Now I have an amazing salaried job that I love and still raft and hike on the weekends to keep me at peace. Balance is possible :)

As someone who pursued their entire college career with the same mindset and only realized in their second to last semester how badly a creative career meant to them, take the time to invest in yourself, it’ll always be worth it. I’m currently pursuing a job that’s solely tech and lacks any creativity and in the six months I’ve been present I’ve felt my soul yearn and chase for any sensibility of art and creativity it can reach. I’m currently working towards to see if it’s possible to switch into design because even just no longer having a community of creative people leaves a hole in my heart, so treasure these gifts and blessing deeply and allow yourself to invest and enjoy them :)

i have to choose between two highschools (my country’s school system is veird) one of them is art, which i REALLY want to study in, and a STEM highschool, and i want to work in stem in the future and i don’t know which one to choose😭
