@new.beginnings.co8: In Inside Out, the scene with Bing Bong happens after he realizes he’ll probably never see Riley again. He’s sitting there quietly, completely crushed, saying, “I’m never gonna make it.” At first, Joy does what she’s always done: she tries to cheer him up. She talks fast, stays upbeat, points out positives, and basically says, “Come on! You’ll be okay!” But it doesn’t work at all. Bing Bong just feels worse—more unseen, more alone. Then Sadness does something really different. She sits next to him and acknowledges his pain. She says she’s sorry he lost Riley and that it really hurts. She doesn’t try to fix it or spin it. She just listens and understands. That’s the turning point. Bing Bong feels heard, starts crying, and then—only after that—he’s able to stand up and move forward. What the scene is really saying: • You can’t always fix sadness with positivity • Sometimes people don’t need cheering up—they need empathy • Sadness has a purpose: it helps us connect and heal@Disney Studios #insideout #HealingJourney #healingprocess
