Morthal is goated. Sick quest lines, good companions, you have Falion, good thane, interesting jarl. Dawnstar is terrible. They have two Daedric quests, sure, but after that it’s just a worse winterhold.

morthal is better than falkreath. only thing falkreath is good for is fast traveling to dark brotherhood. at least morthal has the vampire quest that was kind of cool.
