@molsgonewild: If you haven’t booked… Drop a comment if you me to DM you some more info about this hike! If you’re hut-to-hut hiking in New Zealand and haven’t booked, this can happen — especially in summer. Here’s what to know • If it’s a bookable hut, you must have a booking — if it’s full, you’ll need to camp nearby. • If it’s a first-come, first-served hut, beds go to those who arrive first. No booking = no guaranteed bunk. • Most huts have space to pitch a tent nearby, but you’ll need to carry one just in case. • Always check the DOC website before you go to see if huts are bookable or ticketed. Be prepared to tent if you don’t book ahead. If you’re flexible, hut-to-hut hiking is still totally doable — just be prepared for the occasional tent night 🏕️ And honestly? Waking up in the mountains made it worth it. #huttohuthiking #newzealandhikes #nzhiking #docnz #multidayhike
