“ just because you want to get surgery doesn’t automatically mean you hate yourself “ well yes and no but ultimately isn’t the point of plastic surgery to change something you hate/ dislike about yourself ? Idk

우리만은 아니죠
미의 기준은 다르지만 어딜가나 멋있고, 예뻐지고 싶은 사람은 많잖아요
그냥 자기만족 하면서 사는 사람도 있지만
꼭 우리만 그런것도 아니더라구요

1. Over 50% of clients of plastic surgery in Korea are foreign. They’re just best at it and it’s better, cheaper and safer to get it done in Korea over anywhere else probably. And 2. lol at anyone thinking they’re not full of microplastics. I realize that no actual plastics are used in plastic surgery but the running joke is that Koreans are more plastic than human, but all of humanity is filled with microplastics.

Choice feminism at its finest. Plastic surgery is never about “empowerment”. Not in Korea, not anywhere else. If there was no societal pressure and ppl weren’t made to feel like certain features are more/less desirable, no one in their right mind would ever get cosmetic procedures (obviously not talking about procedures for medical/quality of life reasons)
