@redacteddept: An Aswang is a diverse, malevolent shapeshifting monster in Filipino folklore, often described as a combination of a vampire, ghoul, or witch. By day, they appear as ordinary, often shy villagers, but at night they transform into beasts (dogs, pigs, bats) or detach parts of their bodies to prey on human flesh, blood, and specifically, unborn children. #aswang #manananggal #vampire #cryptid #filipinomythology
